Rolf-Jürgen Otto

Rolf-Jürgen Otto (born September 14, 1940 in Frankfurt am Main ; † April 8, 2016 there ) was a German entrepreneur and president of Dynamo Dresden .

Life

Originally from the Hessian Heusenstamm , Otto initially worked as a bar owner and boxing organizer. In the 1970s he was president of the soccer club Spvgg. 03 Neu-Isenburg for two years . In the 1990s Otto became the owner of the construction companies Trend-Bau and Großenhainer Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH . In January 1993 he became president of the then Bundesliga soccer team Dynamo Dresden ; During this time he was a defining figure in this section of the Bundesliga history, especially because of his external image. In addition, Otto sat for the FDP in the Dresden city council in the mid-1990s .

After his time in Dresden ended with a prison sentence for embezzling around three million D-Marks , he last lived in seclusion in Frankfurt am Main .
