Rolf Bönnen

Rolf Bönnen (* 1954 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German writer and screenwriter .

Life

Rolf Bönnen studied psychology , German and art history . In 1982 he received his doctorate. phil. and was then a short time university lecturer in Bamberg .

After working as a journalist, in which reports , features and documentaries were created for Bayerischer Rundfunk , among others , Bönnen worked for several years as a dramaturge and director at the black box at the Gasteig cultural center in Munich . In 1992 he headed the script workshop in Munich and was TV producer at Development Aventura-Film GmbH in Munich from 1996 to 1998 . During this time he developed series concepts and wrote scripts, including for the ZDF early evening series Die Stadtindianer and Der Nelkenkönig .

Today Rolf Bönnen mainly writes books for children and young people in addition to crime fiction and historical novels. In 2005 he received a grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the novel The Great Dance .
