Rolf Bick

Rolf Bick (born May 20, 1930 in Wuppertal ; † November 7, 2018 in Bickenbach ) was a German theologian and professor of practical theology , pastoral psychology and adult education at the Protestant University of Darmstadt .

Life

Bick first completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer . This was followed by the Abitur at the evening grammar school , a degree in civil engineering and the study of Protestant theology . He then became a military pastor on a base in the Eifel. In 1977 Bick received his doctorate with the work The life-science teaching of Protestant military pastoral care as a field of Christian ethics and church adult education . In 1978 he was appointed professor at the Protestant University of Darmstadt. In 1995 he retired.

Bicks was particularly interested in gestalt counseling, gestalt pastoral care and gestalt education .
