Rolf Brandt

Rolf Brandt (born February 1, 1886 in Berlin , † April 5, 1953 in Butzbach ) was a German writer .

Life

Rolf Brandt received his doctorate in 1909 as Dr. phil. and was then u. a. active as a journalist and writer. During the First World War he was active as a war correspondent. Brandt was editor of the Berliner Lokal-Anzeiger . After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , Brandt and 87 other writers signed a pledge of loyal allegiance to Adolf Hitler in October 1933 .

After the end of the war, several of his writings were placed on the list of literature to be segregated in the Soviet occupation zone and in the German Democratic Republic .
