Rolf Grawert

Rolf Grawert (born November 21, 1936 in Berlin ) is a German legal scholar .

Grawert studied law and economics at the Universities of Heidelberg and Munich . In 1967 he was in Heidelberg with a thesis on administrative agreement between Bund and countries in the Federal Republic of Germany doctorate . In 1972 he completed his habilitation at Bielefeld University with a thesis on the origin of citizenship . Constitutional law, and in particular citizenship, continued to be the focus of his research. From 1974 until his retirement in 2002, Grawert held the chair for public law at the University of Bochum .

He was the founding dean and chairman of the founding commission of the “Faculty of Law” at the Brandenburg State University (BLH), which was appointed on January 1, 1991 by the Minister for Science, Research and Culture , Hinrich Enderlein , and was succeeded by the University of Potsdam .
