Rolf Kasparek , called Rock 'n' Rolf (born July 1, 1961 in Hamburg ) is a German musician. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the German heavy metal band Running Wild and member of the hard rock band Giant X .

In 1976, Kasparek, then still a student, founded his first band Granite Hearts , from which Running Wild emerged in 1979. Since the second work Branded and Exiled , released in 1985, he has been the main songwriter of the band, since the album Black Hand Inn from 1994 all songs - with a few exceptions - have been composed by him alone.

Rolf Kasparek is known for his large collection of pirate and Indian costumes as well as historical uniforms. These are often used for promo photos on some of the band albums. Another trademark is his guitar, a Gibson Explorer .

Kasparek also designed the Running Wild logo and the Running Wild mascot, "Adrian".

In addition to running wild albums, Kasparek produced the album Angel on the Run for the band Kreyson in 1990 and the album Looks like Dynamite for the band Kelley Wild in 1992 .

In 2009 Running Wild broke up after a farewell concert at Wacken Open Air . Then Kasparek and Running Wild guitarist Peter Jordan founded the hard rock band Giant X , which was dedicated to hard rock of the 70s and 80s. The debut album I was released in 2013.

In 2011, Rolf Kasparek announced on the official Running Wild website that he would continue Running Wild.
