Rolf Kerler

Rolf Kerler (born May 14, 1941 in Bietigheim ; † December 8, 2015 in Arlesheim ) was a German banker .

When the GLS Community Bank was established in 1974 , Kerler was the only trained banker among the founding members. Rolf Kerler has had a significant impact on banking facilities in Bochum

Live and act

Kerler studied economics and sociology in Mannheim and Munich. In 1968 Rolf Kerler came across the project from GLS initiator Wilhelm Ernst Barkhoff in Bochum .

From 1973 to 2006, Kerler was a member of the executive board of GLS Treuhand. From 1974 to 1992 he was on the board of the GLS Community Bank and from 1996 to 2013 he was a member of the supervisory board.

From 1984 to 2004 Kerler was a member of the board of directors of the Swiss Free Community Bank . From 1991 to 2011 he was a member of the Weleda Board of Directors , six years of which as Chairman.

From 1988 to 2002 Rolf Kerler was director and treasurer of the General Anthroposophical Society in Dornach, Switzerland . In addition, he was founder and principal in charge of the Registry Foundation with headquarters in Arlesheim .
