Rolf Kreyer

Rolf Kreyer (* 1973 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) is a German Anglist .

Life

After his 1992 at the Peter-Joerres-Gymnasium in Bad Neuenahr-lined High School studied Kreyer between 1993 and 2000 English and mathematics for teachers at secondary schools at the universities of Bonn and the University of Wales, Lampeter . He then stayed at Bonn University, where he received his doctorate in 2004 with a thesis on inversion in English and in 2008 his habilitation in English philology. Since the summer semester 2010 he has been Professor of English Linguistics at the Philipps University of Marburg . He held his inaugural lecture on June 3, 2011 with the topic “On the use of a pop music corpus for linguistics”.

Kreyer's main research interests are in the areas of corpus and text linguistics , cognitive linguistics and syntax .
