Rolf Münzner (born January 3, 1942 in Geringswalde , Saxony ) is a German artist ( drawing , lithography , graphics , illustration ).

life and work

Rolf Münzner studied graphics and illustration from 1962 to 1967 with Gerhard Kurt Müller at the Leipzig University of Graphic and Book Art (HGB). From 1969 to 1972 he was an aspirant at the HGB Leipzig and between 1973 and 1988 he held a teaching position for life drawing and introduction to illustration at this university. In 1989 he was appointed artistic director of the lithography workshop there. From 1992 to 2005 he was professor for graphics at the HGB. Rolf Münzner lives in Geithain .
