Armies of Exigo is a fantasy - Real-time strategy game for Windows and the debut of the Hungarian computer game development company Black Hole Entertainment .

Gameplay

There are three factions to choose from: "Empire", "Beasts" and "Fallen".

Humans, dwarves, and elves are on the Empire's side; Orcs and trolls on the side of the beasts and the undead and insect-like creatures on the side of the fallen. Each faction has its own individual architectural style, its own abilities, heroes and units.

The special thing about Armies of Exigo is that there is a walkable underground on many maps . The player can switch back and forth between the different surfaces. This opens up a certain strategic depth and enables e.g. B. Surprise attacks.

Compared to WarCraft III

The game received good reviews and was sometimes classified as a Warcraft III copy because it is similar in structure and has a lot in common with the fantasy strategy game. However, one of the main differences is the better and more realistic graphics . Nevertheless, Armies of Exigo has already been forgotten and is hardly played anymore , while WarCraft III has remained a popular and long-lasting title to this day, which is mainly due to the support from Blizzard Entertainment and the modding community. Armies of Exigo is now distributed by City Interactive.
