Rolf Ritsert

Rolf Ritsert is professor of business administration and head of the department "Business Administration - Public Management (Police)" at the German Police University .

After graduating from high school, Ritsert joined the German Armed Forces in June 1986 and from October 1990 studied business administration at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg . In March 1994 he graduated with a degree in business administration . He then went to the University of Texas at Austin as a visiting professor before accepting a position as a research assistant at the Helmut Schmidt University at the Institute for Administrative Science. In June 1998 Ritsert received his doctorate in economics and social sciences on the subject of new approaches to financing municipal investments in wastewater disposal .

From 1998 to 2001 he took on a teaching position at the Helmut Schmidt University. In July 1999 he resigned from the Bundeswehr. From August 1999 to August 2002 he was a lecturer in the department of leadership, organizational and economic sciences at the police leadership academy . In the course of 2001 he moved to Bruchsal as a visiting professor for management accounting at the International University in Germany , which ceased teaching at the end of 2009. In May 2007 Ritsert became professor for public management in the administrative sciences department at the Harz University of Applied Sciences .

Since April 2008, Ritsert has been head of the Business Administration - Public Management (Police) department at the German Police University.
