Rolf Schwarz-Schütte

Rolf Julius Schwarz-Schütte (* December 12, 1920 in Bingen am Rhein ; † June 25, 2019 ) was a German entrepreneur and patron .

Career

Schwarz-Schütte founded the Schwarz Pharma company together with his father Anton Schwarz in 1946 and expanded it to become the leading manufacturer of cardiovascular drugs with a turnover of 990 million euros.

From 1988 to 2000 he was President of the Society of Friends and Supporters of Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf e. V. , which manages foundation assets of 30 million euros. In addition, he supported other social institutions. From 1983 to 1991 he was President of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Rolf Schwarz-Schütte died on June 25, 2019 at the age of 98.
