Roll Deep is a British grime collective . It was founded in London in 2002 by a group of MCs, including rapper Wiley . There are close personal connections with the band Boy Better Know .

history

The band's debut album was released in June 2005 under the title In at the Deep End . The album and two of the singles released from it reached first positions in the British charts. After founding his own record label - Roll Deep Recordings - a number of mixtapes were released. Two more albums were released in 2007 and 2008.

In 2005 Roll Deep was nominated for the MOBO Awards . In the meantime, the founding members Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder started successful solo careers.

The band is strongly committed to combating racism and performs regularly at the Love Music Hate Racism festival . In 2007 she addressed the topic musically with the single Racist People .
