Romain Lemarchand (born July 26, 1987 in Longjumeau ) is a French cyclist .

Career

Romain Lemarchand was third in the 2008 stage on a section of the Nivernais Morvan Tour in Fourchambault . At the end of the season he drove for the French Continental Team Auber 93 as a stagiaire , but did not get a contract for the following season. The next year Lemarchand was French champion in the individual time trial of the U23 class. At the end of the year he drove again as a stagiaire for Auber 93 and this time received a contract for the following season.

Romain Lemarchand is the son of François Lemarchand , who was a professional cyclist from 1985 to 1997. He drove for the French teams Fagor , Z and Gan . He won stages in the Route du Sud , the Milk Race , the Quatre Jours de Dunkerque and the Grand Prix Midi Libre . He was also successful in the 1990 Tour de Vendée one-day race .
