Malix Reformed Church

The Reformed Church in Malix in the canton of Grisons is a Grade II listed Evangelical - Reformed church at the top edge of the village.

History and equipment

The structure of the church points back to a medieval foundation, which was under the patronage of Gallus . In the pre-Reformation period in 1496, the choir was rebuilt, the nave vaulted, a sacristy added and the church tower to the north, with an octagonal helmet over eyelashes , enlarged. Inside the church there is a late medieval baptismal font around 1400. The late Gothic church was restored in 1971 for the last time. The organ was installed the following year.

Church organization

The parish Malix is (as of 2009) in negotiations with Churwalden and Parpan to form a Pastorationsgemeinschaft or even a merger, is within the Evangelical Reformed Church Grisons to Colloquium VI Schanfigg-Churwalden .
