Romain Zingle (born January 29, 1987 in Lobbes ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Cycling

Romain Zingle won the overall ranking of the Tour de Namur in 2007. In 2008 he drove for the Belgian Continental Team Groupe Gobert.com . Here he came second in each of the U23 events of Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Paris-Tours . At the end of the season he drove for the French ProTeam Cofidis as a stagiaire , but moved to Verandas Willems in 2009 . In 2009 he won the one-day race Circuit du Hainaut and was again second in the U23 edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège. From 2010 until his retirement in 2015, Zingle drove for Cofidis. On his first big tour , the Vuelta a España , he finished second in the tenth stage and finished the race in 87th place overall. He drove and finished the Tour of Spain one more time and the Tour de France twice during his career . He could not achieve international victories. In July 2015, Zingle retired from cycling due to an inflammation of the heart muscle .
