Romari
The Romari sculpture is located in Bremen - Mitte on President-Kennedy-Platz / Contrescarpe in front of BLG's headquarters . It is included in the list of monuments and statues of the city of Bremen .
The sculpture from 1997 (erected in 1998) made of solid 100 mm square steel comes from the sculptor Robert Schad . "The relationship between visual lightness and physical weight is interesting".
Schad's steel sculptures are also reminiscent of something vegetable; heavy and delicate at the same time. According to the artist, he creates structures “not by bending and bending, but by adding straight parts of different lengths that are welded together. The welds are sanded, then appear organic, like a joint ”. From him come u. a. sculptures in Karlsruhe, Kathmandu , Koblenz, Mannheim, Maulbronn , Moscow, Ravensburg, Regensburg, Saarbrücken and Stuttgart.
