Ron Carey (politician)

Ron Carey (born 1958 ) is a Republican Party politician and former Minnesota party leader .

Carey has been an advocate of the Republican Party since high school in Iowa and has since participated in election campaigns at both the local and state levels.

From 1997 he held the office of treasurer in Minnesota . He gave up this function on June 11, 2005, when he was elected chairman at the party congress. Despite losing the 2006 election, there was a successful re-election in summer 2007, in which he prevailed against his opponent in the first round. After a further two years in office, he left this position in 2009.

Life

He is the director of a software company called Intuit and lives in Shoreview , a city in Ramsey County in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area .
