Ron Miller (songwriter)

Ronald Norman Miller (born 1933 in Chicago , USA ; † July 23, 2007 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American songwriter and music producer .

Ron Miller made a name for himself in the 1960s and 1970s with his work for the Motown label . His greatest success was the song "For Once in My Life", which he wrote in 1968 for Stevie Wonder . Miller also wrote songs for Frank Sinatra , Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald .

Miller and his wife, Aurora Miller, had six children together. On July 23, 2007, Ron Miller , who had cancer and pulmonary emphysema, died of a heart attack at the age of 74.
