Ronald Gwyn "Ron" Waldron (born December 14, 1933 in Neath , Neath Port Talbot ) is a former Welsh rugby union player and coach. He played as a pillar .
Waldron completed his entire playing career at Neath RFC , which he made the dominant club in Wales as a coach in the 1980s. In 1965 he came to four appearances in the national team during the Five Nations . In 1990 he took over the management of the national selection as a trainer. Of the ten games under him, however, only two were won. After the tour of Australia , which ended in a 71-8 defeat by the Waratahs , he retired from his post.
