Ronald F. Maxwell
Ronald F. Maxwell (born January 5, 1949 ) is an American film director, screenwriter and producer.
Life
Maxwell made his directorial debut in 1976 with the television film Sea Marks , which he also produced. Two years later, he directed an episode of the Great Performances series . For this he received an Emmy nomination . In 1980 Maxwell directed the youth film Little Beasts . The following year, Amanda makes the puppets dance, a melodrama.
In 1986 he staged the first sequel to The Marriage of Her Parents Announce from 1961 with Nikki and Mary - The 5-Minute-Marriage .
The 1993 war film Gettysburg is probably Maxwell's best-known film project. The film dramatizes the Battle of Gettysburg , Maxwell himself wrote the script. His next film project was a prequel to this production titled Gods and Generals , for which he again directed and wrote the script. He was also involved as a producer on this film.
