Ronald Heinold

Ronald Heinold (* 1949 or 1950 ) is a former German basketball player . He was a national player of the GDR.

Life

Heinold learned to play basketball in Großkayna . He later played at Chemie Halle and at BSG AdW Berlin. In addition, he was appointed to the national team of the German Democratic Republic 56 times . He received the award as " Master of Sports ". In 1990 he was Vice President of Competitive Sports in the Basketball Association of the GDR and was involved in the work of the German Basketball Working Committee, in which East and West German basketball representatives discussed the transfer of GDR basketball to the German Basketball Federation .

Among other things, he worked as a trainer for the BBV Leipzig and supervised senior men's teams of the USV Halle at German championships as well as the German over 50 and over 55 selection at the 2011 and 2013 World Championships. In 2013, he led the German over 55 to the world championship title. In 2015, the German over 55 selection also became European champions as coaches under Heinold's leadership.
