Ronald "Flip" Murray (born July 29, 1979 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is a retired American basketball player .

Career

Murray was born in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . The 1.91-meter tall guard was playing college basketball at Shaw University when he was selected in the 2002 Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round. Then Murray was active in these NBA clubs, among others: Milwaukee Bucks (2002-2003), Seattle SuperSonics (2003-2006), Cleveland Cavaliers (2006), Detroit Pistons (2006-2008), Indiana Pacers (2008), Atlanta Hawks (2008-2009) and Charlotte Bobcats (2009-2010). His nickname "Flip" comes from an earlier time when Murray played in college and did a lot of gymnastics.

On February 18, 2010, he was transferred to the Chicago Bulls with Acie Law for Tyrus Thomas .

In October 2012 he was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies . However, his contract was dissolved shortly before the start of the season.
