In 1996 Roock Racing entered the BPR Global GT Series in a Porsche 993 GT2 and achieved several class wins. In the same year the first participation in the 24-hour race of Le Mans followed , in which Roock Racing immediately achieved the LM GT2 class victory. In 1997 the Roock-Porsche finished second and third in the GT2 class at Le Mans. In the debut year of the FIA GT Championship , the team celebrated four class wins and was runner-up in the GT2 class. In 1998 Roock Racing had to bow to the ever increasing dominance of the Chrysler Viper GTS-R from ORECA and achieved only one class win in the FIA GT Championship, but was still able to defend the runner-up championship. Roock Racing ORECA also had to admit defeat at Le Mans when the best Roock Porsche behind the two ORECA Vipers reached the finish in third place in its class.

In 1999 the Roock Racing Team withdrew from the FIA GT World Championship after 4 races. In 2000 the team started a new challenge with the Porsche GT 2 in the American Le Mans Series. As the best Porsche team, Roock Racing - only beaten by ORECA - reached the runner-up in the GTS class. In the 2001 season Roock Racing made its debut with a Lola B2K / 40 in the LMP675 class. There the team narrowly missed the championship and again took second place in the team standings.

After the 2001 season, Roock Racing ended its motorsport activities. Michael Roock stayed in Germany and started with Roock Sportsystem GmbH the sale of Porsche used vehicles, Porsche repair and maintenance service, vehicle tuning, restoration of historical Porsche vehicles and construction as well as the use of historical racing vehicles. Fabian Roock opened Roock Autosport Inc. in Atlanta USA and began selling and exporting Porsche used vehicles, Porsche repair and maintenance services and Porsche vehicle tuning. The first Roock RST 650 (650 PS) based on the 996 Porsche Turbo was built back in 2002. Five years later, the Roock RST 600 (600 PS) LM based on the 997 Turbo was completed in Atlanta.
