Rosario Fernández
Rosario Fernández (* 1955 in Lima ) is a Peruvian politician and former Prime Minister and Justice Minister of the country.
Life
Fernández is the daughter of prosecutor and former Peruvian justice minister Joffre Fernandez Veldivieso .
She studied law at the University of Peru and graduated from the top of the class in 1976. Further studies took her to Washington, DC , where she deepened her knowledge of civil procedural law , private law , family law and international law .
From 1988 to 1991 she was Vice-President of the Lima Stock Exchange and from 1993 to 1994 Treasurer of the Lima Bar Association . During this time she was also a member of various committees of the Peruvian government.
Fernández is married to the lawyer Ernest Coz and has two daughters.
