Rosario Green
María del Rosario Gloria Green Macías (born March 31, 1941 in Mexico City ; † November 25, 2017 there ) was a Mexican politician .
Life
Rosario Green studied economics and international affairs and worked at the Colegio de Mexico from 1968 . From 1982 she worked for the World Bank , from 1986 she was director of the commission for the future of Mexican-American relations. From November 1989 to 1990 she represented her country as ambassador to the GDR . On November 14, 1989, she was received by the chairman of the GDR State Council, Egon Krenz , to receive the credentials. From 1990 she was Executive Director of the UN Human Rights Commission , from April 1992 State Secretary in the Foreign Office and from 1998 to 2000 Foreign Minister.
From 2005 she was general secretary of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional . In 2006 she was elected to the Senate .
