Roscoe (* 1983 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania as David Brown ; now David Williams ) is an American rapper and the brother of Kurupt .

Life

Roscoe was ten years old when he flew to California and watched his brother Kurupt take pictures there. Inspired by this, he began rapping himself, often in collaboration with Kurupt. For the first time he officially appeared on his album Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha . At this point he was 15 years old and caught the attention of Daz Dillinger , who helped him put together his first mixtape When The Pain Inflict in 2001 . This was well received in the scene and led to a contract with Priority Records , where he released his debut album Young Roscoe Philaphornia in 2003 with the help of Soopafly and Organized Noize . I Luv Cali followed in 2006 . In 2008 he recorded the album The Frank and Jess Story with Kurupt . It was released on November 11, 2008 in the United States on the Koch Records label . In the following year he put together another album in cooperation with the Internet presence DubCNN under the name Philaphornia 2: Tha Philly Fanatic , which consists of previously unreleased songs that come from the recordings of his debut album, as well as newly recorded songs. He made this available for free download.
