Rosella Thorne

Rosella Thorne (married Johnson; born December 11, 1930 in Montreal ) is a former Canadian sprinter , long and high jumper and hurdler .

At the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 she was fifth in the high jump, seventh in the long jump and failed over 80 m hurdles in the preliminary run. In 1952 she was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 100 m , in the long jump and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the first round.

At the British Empire Games in Vancouver in 1954 , she was fourth in the long jump.

She was Canadian champion twice in the 80 m hurdles (1948, 1949) and in the long jump (1953, 1954).
