Rosemarie Bassi (* 1941 in Persenbeug ) is an Austrian artist and gallery owner. She lives in Sinzig and runs the European Cultural Center - Galerie Rosemarie Bassi in Remagen . After primary school, she studied painting and graphics at the University of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1959 to 1962 . She was a master class student with Albert Paris Gütersloh . This was followed by watercolor studies with Oskar Kokoschka and numerous exhibitions in Italy. After several years in Hong Kong and Rome , she moved to Bonn in 1974 . In 1979 she started an intensive gallery work in Rolandseck . First in the Rolandshof she bought the Villa Rolandseck in 1990 and established a European cultural center there. In the following years she exhibited national and international artists. The Rosemarie Bassi gallery became an established part of the Rhenish, German and international art scene.

For her active work in the field of art and culture, she was awarded the Silver Medal of Honor of the Republic of Austria and the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany.
