Rosemarie Herzog-Gotze

Rosemarie Herzog-Götze (born August 20, 1926 in Sebnitz , † August 9, 2011 in Potsdam ) was a German actress .

Life

She studied from 1945 to 1946 at the Dresden State Drama School, got stage maturity after a year due to her outstanding achievements and went into engagement in Döbeln, where she already played many great roles (Maria Stuart, Gretchen, etc.). This was followed by engagements in Görlitz, Dresden and Potsdam, where she lived until her death. In 1951 she married the actor Günther Götze , with whom they had a daughter, the actress Gela Götze .

From the 1960s on, she played in numerous DEFA films, such as Bread and Roses  (1967), Benno Makes Stories  (1982) and The Murderer Sits in Wembley Stadium  (1970).
