Rosevear is an uninhabited island in the Isles of Scilly and the main island of the Western Rocks . The island is best known for the multitude of ships that have sunk in its shallows. The opera singer Ann Cargill died here in 1784 when The Nancy sank off the island. According to various accounts, her ghost is said to still haunt the island. Another well-known wreck that can still be seen today is the cargo ship Cité de Verdun, which sank off the island in 1925.

In addition to the ship cemetery, you can also explore the houses and the blacksmiths of the construction workers of the Bishop Rock Lighthouse on the island .
