Zantman's Rock is an island in the Isles of Scilly ; it is 55 km west of Land's End and about 10 km from the center of the Isles of Scilly. Zantman's Rock is one of the westernmost islands in England; further to the west are only the Crim Rocks , which are around 400 meters south-south-west .
The island was first recorded on nautical charts in 1860. Until then, Zantman's rock was subsumed under the crim rocks . There are various legends that explain the name of the island. The best known tells of a Dutchman who was stuck on the island after a shipwreck. A ship stranded in 1903 still shapes the scenery of the island today.
