Rosl Moser

Rosl Moser (born January 8, 1930 in Maglern , Carinthia ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and state employee. Moser was a delegated member of the Austrian Federal Council from 1983 to 1988 from the federal state of Carinthia .

Professional background

Rosl Moser was born on January 8, 1930 in the Maglern district of the Carinthian municipality of Arnoldstein . After attending primary and secondary school, Moser learned the trade of tailor and attended vocational school at the same time. From 1948 she worked as a seamstress and weaver before she was exclusively a housewife from 1952 to 1955. In 1955 she resumed her job as a weaver and seven years later, in 1962, she switched to an office job as an expedition leader. In 1973 Rosl Moser finally joined the state service of the Province of Carinthia and was subsequently employed in the accounting department.

Political career

Rosl Moser became involved in internal employee representation early on. From 1957 to 1959 she was elected member of the works council for the first time , and from 1959 she was also its chairman. In 1964 she was elected as deputy chairwoman of the textile, clothing and leather trade union in the state of Carinthia, and in 1966 as deputy chairwoman of the regional women's department of ÖGB Carinthia. In 1971 Moser became chairwoman of the regional women's department of the ÖGB Carinthia and at the same time also a member of the state executive and the presidium of the ÖGB Carinthia.

From 1964 to 1973 Rosl Moser was also active as elected chamber councilor in the chamber for workers and employees for Carinthia. In 1977 she was elected to the board of the administrative committee and the general assembly of the Carinthian regional health insurance fund. On June 1, 1983, Rosl Moser was sent to Vienna by the Carinthian Parliament as a member of the Federal Council. She subsequently carried out this function in the regional chamber of the Austrian parliament until September 28, 1988.
