Ross Taylor
Ross Croft Taylor (born April 26, 1902 in Toronto , Ontario , † May 3, 1984 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Ross Taylor played from 1926 to 1928 for the Toronto Varsity Grads, with whom he won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, in 1927 . The following year he represented Canada with the Varsity Grads at the Winter Olympics. Before joining the Varsitiy Grads, he had played for the Toronto Canoe Club in the Ontario Hockey Association Senior Championship .
International
For Canada , Taylor took part in the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , where he and his team won the gold medal. During the tournament he scored two goals in three games.
