Rosy Varte (born on 22. November 1923 in Constantinople Opel as Nevarte Manouelia , died on 14. January 2012 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , France ) was a French actress .

Life

At the Théâtre national populaire she played with Jean Vilar and in the cinema Rosy Varte specialized in comic roles after minor roles between 1948 and 1955. She has better-known parts as the sister of the title hero in My Uncle Benjamin and as the frustrated heiress in Pierre Tchernias Le Viager . In addition to rare leading roles such as Thérèse with Michel Serrault in La Belle Affaire , Rosy Varte mostly played supporting roles, for example as one of the murder victims in the action crime thriller Angst über der Stadt . Great popularity brought her the role of the heroine of the TV series Maguy . Rosy Varte was married to the director Pierre Badel .
