The Rothkötter Group is a company in the poultry industry. In 2013, the group with around 3,000 employees achieved an annual turnover of over one billion euros for the first time. It is led by the managing directors Franz-Josef Rothkötter and Wilfried Fleming and consists of the following companies:

  • the Rothkötter mixed feed works in Meppen - Versen Haren - Eurohafen and Boizenburg
  • the chicken processing plants Emsland Frischgeflügel and Celler Land Frischgeflügel
  • the sales company Landgeflügel, which sells the products of the two chicken processing companies
  • of the Emsland hatchery
  • the day care center Küken & Friends

Companies

Rothkötter compound feed plant

The Rothkötter Mischfutterwerk GmbH was founded in 1959 by Franz Rothkötter. In the factories of the production sites in Meppen-Versen, Haren-Eurohafen and Boizenburg, all common complete and supplementary feed for pigs, broiler poultry and parent animals are produced. The total production output today is over 1,000,000 tons per year. More than 200 employees work full shifts in the compound feed plants.

Emsland fresh poultry

Emsland Frischgeflügel was founded in 2003. Around 1,600 people are employed in the Haren company.

Celler Land fresh poultry

Celler Land Frischgeflügel was founded in 2011. Around 800 people are employed here in 2-shift operation. This makes it the largest employer in the municipality of Wietze.

Landgeflügel FG Vertriebsgesellschaft

Landgeflügel FG Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH sells the products of Emsland Frischgeflügel GmbH and Celler Land Frischgeflügel GmbH.

Emsland hatchery

The first construction phase of the Emsland hatchery in Dohren near Herzlake was completed in 2003. This was followed by five more construction phases. Around 45 employees work here. The hatchery produces the day-old chicks for the fatteners of the Rothkötter Integration.

Chicks & Friends daycare center

The day care center Küken & Friends was opened in 2010 at the Emsland Frischgeflügel facility and currently offers 65 childcare places in two daycare groups and one kindergarten group.
