The Rotkogel is a summit of the Schinder group in the Upper Bavarian municipality of Rottach-Egern , between Bayerischer Schinder and Pfaffenkopf .
The sparsely forested mountain is only about 1 km from the German- Austrian border. The seldom visited summit can only be reached without paths and with easy climbing (UIAA I). There is a simple wooden cross and a summit book.
