The Rotkreuz-Museum Berlin is a museum in Berlin-Friedenau that uses collections of historical objects to document the history of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement on a national and international level.

Historical information

The museum's collection was created on the private initiative of a volunteer member of the Berlin Red Cross. It was first shown from August to September 1988 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the DRK district association Berlin-Neukölln in the Heimatmuseum Neukölln and one year later in the Schöneberg Town Hall . The opening took place on June 6, 1990 as a permanent exhibition. Five years later the museum moved to the premises of the Berlin DRK regional association. Since January 29, 2003 a registered association is responsible for the sponsorship.
