The Rover 16 , a 4-door sedan, was manufactured by Rover between 1937 and 1940 as the successor to the Rover Speed 16.
The streamlined limousine (similar to models 10 and 12 , but with a round rear) had a 6-cylinder ohv engine with a displacement of 2147 cc. The car was 124 km / h fast. The Rover 14 was offered with the same body, but a smaller engine . In addition, a 2-door convertible was offered. Like all other civil models, the Rover 16 was no longer manufactured from 1940 due to the war.
Only after the start of civilian production after the Second World War in 1945 was there a Rover 16 again. The design corresponded to that of the pre-war car (without convertible), but a trunk compartment had been added to the body, just like the models 10 , 12 and 14 .
In 1948 the Rover P3 replaced the model.
