Royal London One-Day Cup
The Royal London One-Day Cup is a one-day cricket competition of the English first-class counties, which was played for the first time in the 2014 season and replaces the previous Yorkshire Bank 40 .
history
The format of the only English List A competition has been expanded to 50 over in order to align it with the standard international standard in One-Day Internationals . In contrast to the previous competition, only the 18 first-class counties from England and Wales take part in the Royal London Cup.
Tournament format
All games are played in 50-over format. In the preliminary round, 18 teams play in two groups of 9, of which the first four qualify for the quarter-finals.
