The Royal Regalia Museum ( Malay Muzium Alat Kebesaran Diraja ) is a museum and building in Bandar Seri Begawan , the capital of Brunei Darussalam . It is home to the monarchical regalia of the Sultan of Brunei , including his carriage . The museum opened on September 30, 1992.
It is visited by an average of more than 100,000 people a year, 70 percent of whom are foreigners.
history
The building, which was originally called the Churchill's Memorial Building , was subsequently known as the Royal Regalia Building until 2017 . It was in honor of Winston Churchill by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin III. been erected. It was converted into a museum in honor of the 25th anniversary of the 29th Sultan in 1992.
