Rudi Daum

Rudi Daum (born January 7, 1925 in Pressig ; † September 29, 2019 in Stockheim ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Daum first did basic administrative training with the town of Kronach . He served in the military and was a prisoner of war for two years. In 1946 he joined the Bavarian State Service at the Kronach District Office, later he passed the promotion test for the higher administrative service. Daum was mainly active in the municipal sector.

Daum was a member of Stockheim's municipal council and a member of the Kronach district council, and from 1966 to 1974 he was the first mayor of Stockheim. He was also the district chairman of the Young Union of Upper Franconia , district chairman of the Bavarian Municipal Association and deputy chairman of the CSU district association of Upper Franconia. From 1970 to 1990 Daum was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was always elected directly in the Kronach constituency.
