Rudi Leber (born November 19, 1919 - † August 16, 2005 ) was a soccer goalkeeper from the GDR .

Leber initially played for the gymnastics club Chemnitz-Gablenz and later for the BSG Empor Olbernhau . In November 1952 he moved to the GDR league for BSG Empor Lauter . For Empor Lauter, he completed eight league games.

When the Empor Lauter players were delegated to the newly founded SC Empor Rostock in November 1954 , he went as one of twelve Empor players from the Ore Mountains to the Baltic Sea coast. When SC Empor Rostock played its first league game against Chemie Karl-Marx-Stadt in the Ostseestadion on November 14, 1954 , Leber was on the starting line-up.

For Empor Rostock he stood in all 18 games of the season between the posts and came to another league use in the following season. In addition, he came to four games in the FDGB Cup and was in the starting line-up of the final against SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt . He lost the final with Rostock 2: 3 after extra time.

Leber later became a trainer at BSG Motor Rostock and BSG Motor Brand-Langenau .
