Rudi Richter

Rudi Albert Richter (born September 16, 1927 in Fürth ; † October 30, 2011 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Richter attended elementary and high school in Fürth. At the end of the Second World War he entered the labor service and served as a reserve officer applicant. He was wounded and taken prisoner of war. After the war he graduated from high school and studied economics and journalism at the University of Erlangen . In 1953 he acquired the title of Diplom-Volkswirt, in 1957 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the development of commercial advertising and its economic significance in the context of the social market economy .

Richter held leading positions in industry in Munich and Nuremberg and was an independent business consultant for marketing and advertising.

Richter was a city councilor in Fürth and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group there. He was also a member of the Central Franconian District Assembly, chairman of the CSU district association Fürth-Stadt and sat on the board of the CSU district association Nuremberg-Fürth. From 1978 to 1990 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
