Rudi Wiechmann

Rudi Wiechmann (born February 12, 1929 in Helbra ) is a German businessman and politician in various parties ( LDPD , FDP , DVU , FDVP ).

Education and life

Rudi Wiechmann completed a commercial apprenticeship with a degree as a clerk. In 1949 he passed the Abitur and studied at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . From 1952 to 1955 he worked in various professions in the Federal Republic of Germany and from 1955 was again active in the commercial sector. From 1960 he was an employee of a consumer cooperative , from 1967 to 1991 a member of the board. He attended the college for domestic trade with a degree as economist for domestic trade.

Rudi Wiechmann is married and has 5 children.

politics

Rudi Wiechmann joined the LDPD in 1961. From 1990 to 1994 he sat for the FDP in the district council of the Graefenhainichen district , where he was parliamentary group chairman. In 1994 he left the FDP. In 1998 he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for the DVU , where he opened the new legislative period as age president . In the state parliament he was a member of the Committee on Home Affairs, the Committee on Law and Constitution, the Election Review Committee and the temporary Committee on Functional and Administrative Reform / Local Territory Reform. His daughter Claudia Wiechmann was also a member of the state parliament during this time.

At the beginning of 2000 he left the DVU together with his daughter and seven other MPs and co-founded the Freedom German People's Party , of which his daughter became chairman. He was a member of the state parliament until 2002. In the Saxony-Anhalt state elections in 2002, he no longer ran.
