Wallace Spearmon
Wallace Spearmon (born December 24, 1984 in Chicago ) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 200-meter run .
Career
He qualified fourth in the US championships over 200 world championships in 2011 for the world championships in Helsinki in 2005 only because of the regulation that the country that had the last world champion may start a fourth runner. In the final, however, he then surprised by winning the silver medal behind Justin Gatlin . The defending champion John Capel came on the bronze place.
At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka , he won the 4 x 100 meter relay with the US team and won the bronze medal in over 200 World Championships in 2007 in 20.05 seconds. In 2008, he finished third at the Olympic Games in Beijing over 200 meters and was disqualified after the race for illegally stepping onto the boundary line of his career.
In 2009 he won the bronze medal again at the World Championships in Berlin with a time of 19.85 s. At the first Athletics Continental Cup in Split in 2010, he won both the 200 meters and the American 4 x 100 meter relay. At the Olympic Games in London Spearmon was fourth over 200 meters.
In 2013 he was eliminated in the semifinals of the World Championships in Moscow over 200 meters.
In 2014 he was tested positive for methylprednisolone during a doping control and was banned for three months.
Wallace Spearmon has a competition weight of 78 kg with a height of 1.88 m.
