Rudolf "Rudi" vom Endt (born February 11, 1892 in Düsseldorf ; † December 3, 1966 there ) was a German painter, writer and wine poet.
Life
Rudi vom Endt, son of the architect Hermann vom Endt , was an active soldier up to first lieutenant in the First World War from 1911 to 1920. Then was a painting student at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf with the aim of becoming an architect. He stayed with drawing and painting, became self-employed as a draftsman and became known for his lively and ironic caricatures. His drawings and texts show a certain Rhenish humor to which the human imperfect is not alien. As a writer, his field of work was poetry and prose. Among other things, he wrote texts for Kom (m) ödchen . Rudi vom Endt was part of the Düsseldorf scene “ Das Junge Rheinland ” and was a member of the Malkasten artists' association .
