Rudolf Sallinger Prize

The Rudolf Sallinger Prize is a science and business prize that is awarded annually by the Rudolf Sallinger Fund to promote university research and young academics.

Award

It is named after the former ÖVP politician and President of the Federal Chamber of Commerce, Rudolf Sallinger . The prize is intended to support young scientists who investigate the issues and problems of small and medium-sized companies. The fund set up by Sallinger in 1979 awards prize money of € 1,000 to € 3,000. Since its inception until 2013, over 400 scientists have received awards, including Norbert Kailer , Hans Jörg Schelling and Christoph Badelt .

Since 2015, the Rudolf Sallinger Fund has also been presenting a Science & Business Award . With it, the Rudolf Sallinger Fund honors early-stage commercialization ideas based on a scientific achievement with prize money of € 20,000. Furthermore, since 2015, the Rudolf Sallinger Fund has been awarding a Future Founders Challenge video ideas from interdisciplinary student teams with prize money totaling € 10,000.
