Rudolf Balles

Rudolf Balles (born October 16, 1916 in Aschaffenburg ; † September 2, 2010 in Karlsruhe ) was a German local politician ( CSU ).

Life

Balles was born in Aschaffenburg and spent his childhood in Munich. After his father was appointed district administrator of Lohr am Main, he attended grammar school there from 1933 to 1938. He studied in Munich and passed the trainee examination in 1940. He then did military service. From 1949 he worked at the district office in Lohr am Main and in 1954 moved to the government of Lower Franconia as a councilor.

To succeed Rudolf Englert , he was elected district administrator of the Lower Franconian district of Lohr am Main in 1958 and was confirmed in office twice, in 1964 and 1970. He remained in office until the district was dissolved in the course of the municipal reorganization of Bavaria on July 1, 1972. During his term of office the construction of the district hospital and the renovation of the Lohrer Schloss fall.

From 1972 to 1986 he was the administrative manager of the Upper Bavaria district .
