Rudolf Buttmann (politician, 1855)

Rudolf Buttmann (born July 20, 1855 in Ziegelsdorf , † May 30, 1927 in Munich ) was a German high school professor, historian and member of the Bavarian state parliament.

Life

Buttmann attended high school and studied philology and history. In 1887 he entered the civil service in Speyer and from 1892 he was at the grammar school in Zweibrücken , later at the Theresiengymnasium in Munich. From 1897 he was chairman of the historical association Zweibrücken, for which he also published the West Palatinate history sheets.

In 1885 his son Rudolf was born.

From 1907 to 1918 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the Liberal Association.
